As a nurse, I was frustrated that Congress failed to pass legislation that would reform broken insurer and Pharmacy Benefit Manager practices that threaten patient access and affordability last year. Senators Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar should take the upcoming budget bill as an opportunity to pass PBM reform that protects patients in Minnesota and across the country.
